We are thrilled to share that Mendham Borough has proclaimed June as LGBTQ+ Pride Month! At the June 9th Council meeting Mayor Christine Serrano-Glassner read a Proclamation recognizing that "the pursuit of equality, respect and inclusion for all individuals is an attainable goal and that no one should live in fear or face persecution and violence due to their sexual orientation, gender identity, race, color, or religious beliefs"
This Proclamation became a reality due to the relentless efforts of several members of the Mendhams Diversity Committee. These team members spoke at Council meetings leading up to the June meeting to share with the Council and the Mayor the history, context, and importance of a public Proclamation. We are proud of the Borough for this Proclamation, and look forward to making further progress throughout the year.
